About

Stoney Batter Studio was founded in June 2000 by Padraig Cunningham, Claire Halpin and Linda Shevlin with the intention of creating a group studio that provides a permanent and creative work environment, allowing the personal and professional development of a number of artists to produce quality works of art.

On achieving this, the studio entity would be used to promote the work of the resident artists through exhibitions, including an annual exhibition at the studio premises, and through developing links with other artists’ group studios in Ireland and abroad.

Since its foundation the artists have continued to develop their own solo artistic careers and have exhibited nationally and internationally in solo and group exhibitions. They have also developed the Stoney Batter Studio group entity and have exhibited in numerous art centres throughout Ireland including - Model Arts and Niland Gallery, Sligo, Galway Arts Centre, Market Place Arts Centre, Armagh, South Tipperary Arts Centre and Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray.
